微軟現在提供免費下載給使用新Xbox One光碟機時遇到問題的民眾。
使用者回報說光碟機插入光碟的時候不是很吵，不然就是根本讀不了光碟。超過150名使用者在遊戲網站Kotaku上反應了問題，然而微軟表示遇到問題的人數就整體來說不多。
這不是微軟推出電視遊樂器時第一次遇到問題。在2005年，使用者發現Xbox 360組件的硬體故障，導致三個紅燈閃爍，使用者戲稱為「死亡紅環」。
Xbox One遊樂器開賣還不到一個禮拜，第一天內就賣了超過一百萬組。這組遊樂器是微軟八年來首度推出的新款，打破了所有過往Xbox的首日銷量，並且幾乎全球都售罄了。
新的Xbox One預計會在關鍵而巔峰的節慶季節市場跟Sony的新PS4一決雌雄。
(Technology) Microsoft Responds To Xbox Problems
Microsoft is now offering a free download for people experiencing problems with its new Xbox One disc driver.
Users have reported that the disc drives are either very loud when a disc is inserted, or are not reading discs at all. More than 150 users have reported problems on Kotaku, a gaming website, however Microsoft stated the number of people experiencing problems was very small overall.
This is not the first time Microsoft has experienced problems with the release of its gaming consoles. In 2005, the Xbox 360 was found to have units with faulty hardware leading to three flashing red lights which users dubbed as the red ring of death.
Xbox One began selling its consoles less than a week ago and sold more than one million units in the first 24 hours on the market. Units of the console, the first from Microsoft in eight years, broke all previous Xbox first-day sale records and are mostly sold out worldwide.
The new Xbox One is set to go head-to-head with Sonys new PlayStation 4 during the crucial peak holiday season market.
