這馬戲團為了即將來臨的演出而回到了台灣。
這位於魁北克的娛樂公司「太陽劇團」將為了即將到來且為期24天的演出回到台灣。表演名稱「OVO」的意思是葡萄牙文的「蛋」，這場表演據說將帶觀眾進入熱鬧而熙壤的昆蟲世界，這個昆蟲世界將因一顆神秘的蛋出現而造成混亂。除了來自世界各地的54名表演家的華麗特技表演之外，表演的特色為驚人的力量技巧、絢麗的服裝和激昂的音樂。
OVO表演將正式於11月19日開跑，且將持續到2014年1月5日。為了容納下整個演出，南港展覽館旁架設了一個全新的大帳篷，高20公尺、寬50公尺。根據太陽劇團總經理羅伯特諾曼表示，大帳篷對OVO表演來說很重要，因為它讓太陽劇團能夠完全掌控環境，這樣才能呈現一場獨特的表演。
自從2009年四月在加拿大蒙特婁的世界首演後，OVO表演已經巡迴了超過20個城市，娛樂了超過250萬名觀眾。這將會是OVO在亞洲的首次演出。
(Culture) Cirque du Soleil Returns to Taiwan
The circus has come back to Taiwan for its upcoming show.
Quebec-based entertainment company Cirque du Soleil is back in Taiwan for its upcoming 24-day show. The show OVO, meaning egg in Portuguese, is said to be an immersion into the teeming and bustling world of insects, which is disrupted when a mysterious egg appears. On top of over-the-top acrobatic acts by 54 performing artists from all over the world, incredible feats of strength, gorgeous costumes and invigorating music will also be featured.
The OVO show will be officially launched on Nov. 19 and will run through Jan. 5, 2014. To house the show, a brand new big top, standing 20 meters high and 50 meters wide, has been put up next to the Nangang Exhibition Hall. According to company manager Robert Naumann, the big top is of great importance to OVO performances for it allows the circus complete control over the environment so that a unique show can be presented.
Since its world premiere in Montreal, Canada, in April 2009, the OVO show has toured over 20 cities, entertaining more than 2.5 million spectators. This will be the first of OVO in Asia.
