衛生福利部食品藥物管理署常務次長許銘能說在屏東當局和衛生福利部發現味全使用了大統的油品後，味全已經提供了列有21項產品的清單給政府機關。
味全已經發布了聲明表示所有產品都「天然且安全」但仍需進一步檢測。
還不確定這個時間點味全是否就知道那些油品已經被摻入別的油。
(Local) Oil Scandal Spreads
A Ting Hsin International Group subsidiary was recently ordered to recall 21 of its products for containing adulterated ingredients. Much like Formosa Oilseed Processing Co, they were found to have used oil from Chang Chi Foodstuff Factory Co. in products made for Wei Chuan Food Corp.
A Food and Drug Administration (FDA) report recently issued stated that 50 percent of Chang Chi oil was compromised, and Changhua County Public Health Bureau director-general Yeh Yen-po stated that the Chang Chi Chairman Kao Cheng-li had confessed to selling oil to two other major manufacturers. He admitted selling oil to Formosa Oilseed and Ting Hsin, but denied selling it to other companies.
FDA Acting Director-General Shiu Ming-neng stated that Wei Chuan has provided a list of 21 products to authorities after the Pingtung bureau and the Ministry of Health found the company had used Chang Chi oil for them.
Wei Chuan has released the statement that all of its oil products are, natural and safe, however further tests still need to be done.
It is unclear at this time if Wei Chuan knew about the oil having been adulterated.
